A central retinal artery occlusion is an emergency. Hours matter.

Who this is for

People diagnosed with a central retinal artery occlusion, usually within the first day.

What oxygen does

The retina dies fast without oxygen. Pressurized oxygen can keep it alive through the eye's other vessels while the blockage clears.

What a course looks like

This is an emergency. If you have not been seen yet, go to an emergency room. If an eye doctor sends you to us, we treat the same day.

This is an approved use of hyperbaric oxygen under Medicare and UHMS guidelines. Whether it is right for you is a decision made with our physician and yours.

Treated at both clinics: Great Neck and Massapequa Park.
