Who this is for

Patients after reconstructive surgery, a skin graft, or a tissue flap, when the surgeon is worried the new tissue is not getting enough blood.

What oxygen does

In the first days a graft lives on oxygen diffusing in from around it. Hyperbaric oxygen raises that supply while new vessels connect, which can save tissue that would otherwise be lost.

What a course looks like

Time matters here. We see these patients quickly, often the same week the surgeon calls, and treat daily until the tissue is stable.

This is an approved use of hyperbaric oxygen under Medicare and UHMS guidelines. Whether it is right for you is a decision made with our physician and yours.

Treated at both clinics: Great Neck and Massapequa Park.
