Who this is for

People recovering from a crush injury, a severe fracture with soft tissue damage, or compartment syndrome.

What oxygen does

Swelling squeezes the small vessels and starves the muscle. Oxygen under pressure reaches the tissue anyway, reduces the swelling, and limits the damage while the injury settles.

What a course looks like

Usually a short, intense course in the first days and weeks after injury, coordinated with your surgeon.

This is an approved use of hyperbaric oxygen under Medicare and UHMS guidelines. Whether it is right for you is a decision made with our physician and yours.

Treated at both clinics: Great Neck and Massapequa Park.
